Contemplative Practices & Workshops
Practice ancient, contemplative practices in a spacious, community setting from your living room in a virtual, contemplative workshop.
Or, join for an in-person setting in Nashville, TN.
Contemplative Spiritual Practice
By attuning to what is, we are able to drop-in deeply into the present moment. Join for soul care and leave refreshed by tending to your inner life. Guided practices throughout the time together that allow you to drop-in deeply and rest, without needing to come up with what’s next. Spiritual formation guided by someone who has done contemplative practices for over 8 years and is pursuing a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Wisdom Tree.
The Process
Drop In
Orient to either the Zoom room or the in-person space, and get in touch with our bodies.
Spend Time Listening
Once we’ve oriented, we’ll listen to poetry or scripture, and then spend time in silence for deep listening for what resonates.
Creating
In response to what we’ve heard, we’ll spend time creating - either through writing and journaling or art practices.
Sharing & Wrapping Up
We’ll spend time wrapping up so that we can get you back to your day.
Upcoming Events
Contemplative practices invite us into “being fully present — in heart, mind, and body — to what isin a way that deepens awareness, encourages oneness, and strengthens compassion” - from the Center for Action & Contemplation.
I don’t know about you, but I definitely need some awareness and compassion these days.
Join me for an hour long, contemplative drop-in. We’ll take a few moments to arrive, then get started with some poetry, a meaningful quote, some silence and then some stillness, music and time for journaling or art-making. We’ll spend a few moments at the end to share anything that came up for you.
For anyone that registers, I will send out the Zoom link the day of via email.
