Meet Your Goals ❋ Self-care beyond the bubble bath ❋ Have fun ❋ Get support ❋

If you’re struggling to do the self-care basics, you’re not alone.

You’ve done therapy. You’ve hired a coach. You’ve bought a million planners. You have a bunch of lists that never get done. You set goals every year, quarter, month. You try rituals. Your spiritual practices stick for a bit, and then fade out. And while you do get things done, it doesn’t really feel fun or like a win.

A harvest moon in the sky above rosy pink clouds

❋ You try planning time for self care, but when the moment comes, you find yourself on the couch, watching your comfort show on repeat for the 6th time, thinking you should be doing something, but you’re not sure what those things are.

❋ You write your tasks down on a random piece of notebook paper, but you’re not exactly sure where that list went, and you lost the sticky note that had your goals for the quarter on it, and now you’re too tired to start over making a new list..

❋ You left work early. You hired a babysitter. You told your husband to get lost for a couple of hours so you could have some you time. Now, you’re standing in front of the bathroom mirror and you’ve no idea if you should do a face mask or paint your nails or take a bath or just sit and stare into space.

❋ You wrote down a morning routine that sounded dreamy with all of the things you’d like to do every morning - drink coffee, take a walk, slowly ease into the day with your pet - but every morning you find yourself dreading the dreamy routine, so you hit snooze instead.

  • I came to Anna's [Evening Retreat] in a season of grief and sadness, so I was a bit apprehensive about sitting in the quiet with those feelings for so long. But Anna did a great job creating a safe container for me to sit with those feelings and also examine them. Through the journal questions she offered, I walked away with new clarity on my values. And with gratitude for the peace I experienced in that session. Looking forward to joining another as soon as my schedule allows!

  • You get the things done you know you need to, but without the guilt or shame that you missed a deadline.

  • You start to realize that you’re doing the small self care things that add up over time and you notice a massive shift in your mental health.

  • It’s not about consistency - a la, doing the thing every day - and is instead about what you need in the moment.

  • You have a menu of practices, rituals or rhythms to choose from, instead of feeling you have to white-knuckle your way through a commitment you don’t want anymore.

  • No more figuring out self-care in the moment. You can pull up your fall menu, pick something and go. Less decision fatigue and paralysis.

What if you could plan for self care without feeling the shame and disappointment that you didn’t do it right or consistently?

I made this workshop because I struggled with self-care for years. I knew that my self-care needs changed with the seasons, but I wasn’t really sure how to plan for that. I spent years struggling to know what self-care I needed when. When I had time for self-care, I’d sit on the couch and end up doom-scrolling my way through Doordash, knowing I was hungry, only to panic order something an hour later.

I also know what it’s like to never get to the things I wanted to do, because I didn’t set aside time to plan them. I would come up with the best laid plans, but my plans only worked if my day was perfectly ideal, where I never hit the snooze button and always ended work precisely at 5:00PM.

Now instead of planning for the ideal, I make plans based on what I know works for me, and what I need. Because I’m excited about what’s on my self-care menu, I tend to follow through with it more.

After 14 years in corporate, I was majorly burnt out and left to do consulting, ended up running my own consulting firm, and getting my certificate in Spiritual Direction. A big part of my journey has been re-learning how to take care of myself and reincorporate sacred rhythms into my life.

And, I’m so excited to share what I learned with you.

I get it - I’ve been there, staring into outer-space, knowing I need to do something but feeling paralyzed.
